back home

I am back home. 🤙

Some people might be surprised, why I decided to cancel my trip (having planned to travel until July) and I realized  hardly anyone is aware of what is going on in South East Asia and other countries.

Borders are closing, there are more and more restrictions and regulations, more and more closings. The embassies advise to leave asap as flights will not be available anymore soon.

Countries like Vietnam where they have a lot of cases already, kick foreigners out of guesthouses and hotels, foreigners have diffculties taking buses/trains. Quarantine situations must be very hard. When you are lucky, you are locked up in your hotel, if not you are in a military camp. The German government published information saying quarantine in Indonesia should be avoided as hygiene is far away from European standards.

Thailand will most probably not extend visas. The German embassy says on their website they won't issue proofs for visa extensions. Also, they have limited options to help which makes sense as they have to follow local rules.

There are rumours saying Thai people start getting armed to defend themselves.

And last but not least, those countries are different from Europe in many ways.  I am not going into more details as this is online but I guess, everyone knows what I mean.

Of course, travelling and passing airports was a risk but I will self isolate myself for 14 days.

Zurück in Deutschland.... 😓🙈

Trotz Dankbarkeit und Demut bin ich auch super traurig; ich hatte noch soooo viel auf dem Zettel: 4 Monate und 4 Länder, ganz viele Pläne und Ideen 😑
